The Amazons Australia second edition from 6 to 8 July 2026 is an Adventure Racing World Series All Women's Stage Adventure Race.
Based on the Cassowary Coast in Tropical North Queensland, the event sees all-female teams of two embarking on an extreme adventure, combining trekking, navigation, mountain biking, paddling and mystery challenges to test their skills and resilience.
Participants are required to find controls or checkpoints that are marked on a map. Not everyone has to go the exact same way at all times so team strategy and decision making can impact on how fast and how far you travel.
This is a 3 Day Stage Race where teams will race by day (up to 8 hours per day), then rest, relax and recover by night.
